Keys Without Boundaries
Quantum Secure Networks (QSN) extend beyond locations directly connected to QKD infrastructure. Edge locations, cloud environments and distributed infrastructures may require different approaches. The Falqon® Key Manager bridges these environments, by providing a unified key management layer across QKD, PQC and hybrid deployments while maintaining key lifecycle management across the network.
Hybrid by design
QKD and PQC address the quantum threat in complementary ways. QKD enables key distribution based on physics rather than computational assumptions, while PQC enables quantum-resistance across broader network environments. Falqon® key manager combines these approaches within a unified key management architecture, enabling QKD keys to be cryptographically combined with keys established through PQC and conventional mechanisms. This allows organizations to apply different security approaches to distributed environments while ensuring crypto agility and operational resilience.

The Falqon® Key Manager brings key management, hybrid integration and flexible deployment together within a standalone solution designed to extend quantum secure communications across distributed network environments.
Layered Security
QKD is particularly suited to protecting mission-critical communications, high-value assets and long-term sensitive information, providing key distribution rooted in quantum physics rather than computational assumptions. PQC complements QKD by extending quantum-resistant security across broader network environments. The Falqon® Key Manager combines these approaches within a unified key management architecture, enabling QKD keys to be cryptographically combined with natively generated PQC keys, conventional mechanisms and hybrid keys. This allows organizations to apply different security approaches across QKD-enabled, edge, cloud and distributed environments while ensuring crypto agility and operational resilience.
The Falqon® Key Manager can be deployed within Falqon® QKD Nodes, as a standalone on-premise KMS device, on customer-provided servers or within customer-provided cloud environments, enabling flexible key management across diverse network infrastructures.
