Overview
Falqon® Systems exhibited and participated at QCI Days 2026, held from 28-30 September 2026 in Padua, Italy. Organised by the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) and hosted by ThinkQuantum and Officina Stellare, QCI Days brought together the European quantum communication ecosystem with a strong focus on CEF Digital/EuroQCI projects, IRIS² Quantum Communication Infrastructure initiatives and operational deployment across Europe.
The programme reflected the shift from individual QKD deployments towards interconnected and operational quantum communication infrastructures, with discussions covering scalability, interoperability, network and key management, satellite QKD, software-defined networking and integration across national and cross-border environments.
Falqon® Systems contributed through its exhibition presence and programme participation, sharing its perspective on the infrastructure required to deploy and operate scalable Quantum Secure Networks (QSN).
🗓 28-30 September 2026
📍 Padua, Italy
Key themes included:
- Operational EuroQCI and national QCI deployments
- Scalable and interoperable quantum communication infrastructure
- Quantum Key Distribution and quantum secure networking
- Network and key management
- Satellite and terrestrial quantum communication
- Integration across telecom, public-sector and critical infrastructure environments
At the exhibition, Falqon® Systems presented its integrated approach to Quantum Secure Networks, bringing together quantum key generation, secure key lifecycle management and network orchestration within an architecture designed for scalable operational deployment.
The Falqon® portfolio includes the Falqon® MDI-QKD Series, Falqon® Key Manager and Falqon® Domain Controller, providing the core technologies required to generate, manage and orchestrate cryptographic keys across distributed quantum-secure communication infrastructures.
QCI Days provided an important forum for industry, public stakeholders, research organisations, telecom operators and infrastructure providers to exchange perspectives on the next phase of European quantum communication deployment. For Falqon® Systems, the event was an opportunity to demonstrate how a network-first architecture can support the transition from individual secure links towards scalable national and cross-border Quantum Secure Networks.
